Cologne has confidence in the EUS from geomer

In its long history, the city of Cologne has already experienced many flooding events. This is a major reason why the city plays a pioneering role concerning floodwater protection.

We are proud to support the city of Cologne In its continuing endeavours. On the one hand, we provide the map portal for the public of accessible floodwater hazard maps and on the other hand, we support the employees responsible for floodwater protection in the floodwater protection centre using the Floodwater Decision Support System (EUS) designed and implemented by us.

Using the EUS, many different floodwater scenarios can be managed and analysed with respect to their potential effects on the population and infrastructure, both map-based and in real-time. The EUS thus makes an important contribution for responsible risk reduction.
